CAB TILT POLICY

UK Truck & Plant Group Ltd will not accept any claim due to damage to your windscreen due to cab tilting operations. Please ensure your cab is secure and ready to be tilted when entering the workshop, regardless of the reason for attendance.

COURTESY VEHICLES

All loan vans must be returned with the same quantity of fuel as when issued, otherwise a charge will be added to your invoice. All drivers must be 30 or over, and hold a full UK driving licence. All damages are chargeable to the driver.

PARKING & STORAGE

All vehicles are parked at owners own risk in both top and bottom parking facilities.

VEHICLE PARTS & DISPOSALS

If you wish to retain or inspect old components & parts that have been removed from your vehicle, please inform us when your vehicle is booked in for repair. Parts will be kept and labeled with your vehicle registration, and held onsite for a maximum of 7 days, after which they will be disposed of.

All oil & fuel services will incur a Waste Environmental Disposal charge of £15.00 per vehicle to cover disposal overheads and our waste transfer licence.

LABOUR CHARGES

Minimum workshop invoice value = 1 hour (no exceptions) 

Diagnostic /Fault clearing by electronic plug in is charged separately at £74.00 per session

Welding & Fabrication will incur extra consumables charges, relevant to the type of fabrication being undertaken, e.g Grinding discs, Welding Wire, Sheet Metals etc. Please ask in advance for a rough estimation if you are unsure, your workshop labour charge does NOT include these items

PAYMENT 

Non Account Customers, please note all Invoices will required to be paid in full on collection of your vehicle, with no exceptions. We do not offer credit facilities to non-account holders.

SUBCONTRACTORS 

Subcontractors visiting site must sign in, by making themselves known at the workshop, and must carry on them, or have prior submitted a copy of their Third Party Liability Insurance, and Risk Assessments’ for the current year.

SAFETY

Due to the nature of our industry and the engineering environment in which we operate, please do not expect our engineers to remove their protective equipment (this includes overalls, boots and gloves) to enter or drive your vehicle. We will use seat covers and floor mats in an effort to keep your vehicle clean and sanitise where possible.

Although we strive to ensure safe working practices and a fully safe working environment engineering workshops pose numerous risks to untrained members of the public. Therefore we reserve the right to ask you to leave our workshops and allow our engineering team to work, if we deem you to be at risk of injuring yourself or one of our team members.

No children under the age of 16 are permitted in the workshop under any circumstances

Please do not ask to borrow tools or equipment. We politely remind you we make our living with such equipment, and have invested heavily in such; we are not a hire company!

COVID-19 PROCEDURES

We aim to provide our clients with the highest possible service and this also includes ensuring all vehicles leave our premises deep cleaned and sanitised ready for the customer to use immediately.

We kindly ask that if you are visiting our premises you use the sanitising stations provided and if possible wear a mask when dealing with staff. 

We are strictly following official government guidelines to ensure our staff's safety. 

Please help us to do so by contacting us if you begin to show any symptoms before your appointment so we can reschedule promptly. If within 72 hours of visiting our site you are found to be COVID positive, please contact us immediately. 

Our business has remained open during the entire pandemic and by following the current guidelines, you are ensuring we may continue to do so.
